Hello,
My husband, Ted, and I have been happily married for 38 years, and have lived in the area for over 30 years. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. Traveling, fishing, gardening, and reading are my favorite pastimes.
My Bachelor's degree is from Northern Illinois University, and my Master's from St. Xavier's University. I have taught sixth grade at Harrison School for ten years.
This year I will be teaching language arts, reading, social studies, and both 6th grade math classes. Best of all, sixth graders will each have a laptop to use in the classroom all day long. We will be using them for our weekly writing assignments and projects we do in social studies. Anything they do on the computer can be accessed at home by going to the remote desktop button. Each computer seems to be a little different. Hit the "Start" button at the bottom of your computer. Go to accessories, communication, remote desktop. Type thin.hsd36.org in the box that appears. Your child will have to log in the same way he/she does it at school to access their account. You can reach me at 815-653-2311 or pmalo@hsd36.org.
