Dear Harrison School District #36 Family,
As the Superintendent of Harrison School District #36, I would like to welcome you to our school district. At Harrison School, you have access to a comprehensive educational program offered in a small school environment.
Our mission here at Harrison reads: “The Development of the Total Child is our Primary Focus.” At Harrison we work with children academically, behaviorally, and as well informed citizens. We follow a school-wide approach to behavior with the Harrison A, B, C’s focusing on: Acting Responsibly, Being Respectful, and Caring for our own and others’ safety.
As new members of our Harrison School District #36 team, it is important that you become active in your child’s education. Our distirct and our children can only be successful if we are able to work together.
We promise to do our best to make sure that your child has all of the support and assistance they need to be successful. At home, we hope you will reinforce this message by making sure that your child has a quiet place to do homework, that you assist and check to make sure that homework is completed, and that you set expectations for your children to always try their best. These few simple steps will demonstrate your commitment to education and will help your child succeed.
The only way for your child to make the most of our educational and extracurricular opportunities is with your support and encouragement at home.
While we are proud of our successes, we know that your child and your family’s success is the most important goal we can achieve. Please be an active part of that success.
I look forward to our work together.
Yours for excellence in education,
Jill M. Gildea, Ed.D.
Superintendent
